A few days and new years in Budapest
My and our time in Europe wrapped up in Budapest. It was my 22nd city in 30 days. At that point, many have meshed together in certain ways and I’ll have much more thinking back to do, but Budapest stood out for a few reasons.
- They had really cool thermal baths
- The city was beautiful, with water running through it
- It was the most fun we had since we went to some parties and a big club for new years
- Our hostel was a unique place
- I was a fan of the food
When we got there, we grabbed a really good meal that was perched at the top of a hill. Then, we went to this party happening at our hostel’s sister hostel. There were tons of people there from all over the world and it was a fun night.
The next day, we woke up and went to a big square and then these massive thermal baths.
Then, we went to a huge food market, to Gellert Hill, and got an overlook of the entire city.
That night, after grabbing some food at an area with basically food trucks, we went to the coolest bar I’ve ever been to. There were 8 different rooms all with different music, and we spent the night (and the beginning of 2019) at the bar/club having a good time.
Budapest reminded me a lot of Prague with the food and layout of the city. They have these awesome chimney cakes, and tons of other foods.
Was a super fun time, it’s maybe the most beautiful large city I visited and was a great way for me to end my Europe travels.
Onto India.
