A day in Utrecht

We took a day trip to Utrecht from Amsterdam. I’d say if you can get a solid 2 days in Amsterdam, then the trip to Utrecht on top of that is worth it.

It’s a beautiful town that’s actually very similar to Amsterdam, but less crowded and raunchy.

It was a cheap ~45 minute train ride there. We walked around the city, stumbled into what seemed to be maybe a Turkish market, ate Vietnamese food, went to their main square and took the tour up their massive tower. We also went into their old famous church.

We got to climb tons of starts and get some Utrecht history in the tower, plus seeing all of the bells. Then, we got some tasty beers at a cool bar.

It was a peaceful, cool look at another city outside of Amsterdam within Holland.
