A day in Rotterdam

On our way to our next night of sleep in Bruges, Brussels, we took a train to Rotterdam for the day. Dropped out stuff in a train station locker and went to explore.

Example of some Rotterdam architecture (food hall on the far right)

It was definitely a good call to stop there. Rotterdam is a beautiful city with some of the coolest architecture I’ve ever seen and the best food hall I’ve ever been in. It was a bit of a gross day, though.

Right out of the station, we bought these apple-filled donuts that were vegan somehow and super tasty. Then, walked through the city and went to their massive food hall. It was totally extravagant with tons of vendors. The outside of the building was beautiful, and the inside had some really cool art.

Then we admired the architecture. Then, walked down a massive bridge and over to the edge of part of the city. Then, went to a nearby hotel rooftop bar followed by walking around a bit more and then catching our train.

Worthwhile stop, but probably didn’t need much more time than we gave ourselves, unless it was summer and being outside was more pleasant.
